I’ve been gluten-free since 2004 (symptoms began 2003). I also am dairy-free and corn-free. I try to eat vegan as much as possible, but I travel a lot and have succumbed to eating fish and eggs on the road lest I die of starvation from eating lettuce salads.

I don’t maintain to be an expert by far. I am not providing any sort of advice whatsoever, just my experiences and how I live.

Some people say they could never do it. But you know what? Once you’re in the situation you just deal and before you know it you’ve survived. Anything can seem impossible until you just do it.

My Diet:
Gluten Free – extremely intolerant
Corn Free – intolerant, but not 100% avoided
Dairy Free – intolerant and morally opposed; wouldn’t eat even if i could
Meat Free (not including fish) – previously vegan, but I still refuse to eat meat (health reasons).

My Symptoms:
Digestive – extreme abdominal distress and constipation for few days up to week
Skin – neck, jawline, & chest breakouts resembling pimples but much worse; lasts weeks/month
Neurological – “brain fog” for a couple weeks
Extreme Lethargy
Irritability
Extreme Menstrual Cramps – experienced all life, never resolved until gf diet. Ungodly pain, vomiting & passing out; cannot function.
